I do not think there is a book that I would not try to read, I would keep an open mind. However The Notebook movie hit a very very hurtful spot in me, and I doubt I could read the book.
My most read books ever are the Hobbit and LOTR. I started reading them about age 10 and have worn more than one set out. There is always something new in them. The Stand is also one that I have read over and over and over. The Catcher in the Rye was banned from schools here a few years ago and I always wondered why. As for the 'classics' can you tell I skipped lit class a lot. LOL

Okay, now I feel like a loser. I could not make heads or tails out of Ulysses, tried to read it twice, mind you....and both you and Georgina have not only read it, but own a copy. Guess I should try again.
