Olympic Torch Relay




The torch was brought to the celebration on a sleigh pulled by a team of clydsdales. DD had been in the parade leading up to the arrival of the Olympic Flame. Day 78 - is supposed to have seen the largest celebration yet on the journey across Canada. 18 - 20 thousand people.

How exciting for you being so close to the action. Are you going to see some of the events live? I didn't make it to the Sydney Olympics in 2000 but the 2006 Commonwealth Games here in Melbourne was a huge highlight for me and an experience that will remain with forever. There's nothing like seeing it live and being amongst the excitement and emotion of the moment.
