I stole this straight from your blog. "only two defining forces have EVER offered to die for you 1. Jesus Christ 2. An American Solider One died for your soul and the other for your freedom." A year without your husband is a long long time, but a year without our freedom would be forever. I appreciate what your hubby is doing, and the sacricifce your family is making.

Sadness in the world of racing

Long before I was a fan of Nascar I was a drag racing fan. Truly more than a fan an actual junkie. My boyfriend pit crewed on a car that held the world title for super gas comp. That took us to such places as Mission, Seattle, Arizona, and of course the two races in LA. I was the girl of one of the guys and had utter freedom while at the races. I could site see, I could do the top eliminator club, I could do the stands, or I had free access to the pits. The guys all new me, and it was so much fun, you were always safe. Well the racing family lost one of their own. John Force driver Eric Medlen died from injuries sustained in a racing accident. Gosh the girls were just little when I was around back then. It is a very sad thing. I am thankful that his suffering is over, and that he is in a better place. My sympathies go out to the Force families. In the toy department at Walmart yesterday. There was a #24 barbie and a #8 Barbie but where oh where is my # 20 barbie? And spea

Passport Update #3

I get a registered letter notice and go to the post office to sign for it. It is an envelope with DD and DS birth certificates, and health cards, and a letter stating their passports will be following under separate cover shortly. I had seen the charges on my CC so I knew theirs had been approved where is mine? So my two kids can fly to the states almost now, but not Mom and Dad, arggggg

Tell me it is a possibility PLEASE

This just in Grand Prix of Edmonton welcomes NASCAR Canadian Tire Series The Grand Prix of Edmonton is very excited to have NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race in this year's event. The colour and excitement associated with the stock cars are surely going to bring our event to the next level. The NASCAR race is a newly-formed series incorporating elements of the CASCAR series which ran last year in Edmonton. CASCAR has had a loyal following across Canada, especially in Edmonton going back to the 1970's. But with NASCAR's new participation this is going to be an even bigger, better series. It takes our event to a higher level when we can say the new NASCAR series is coming to Edmonton with all its market presence. "In fact, Edmonton is going to be unique bringing together both the Champ Car World Series and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in one event. We anticipate NASCAR will bring 35 to 40 of their throaty & noisy cars to the Edmonton track to support the world-class Ch

What day is it today

Is it Monday, is it Tuesday, is it Wednesday. oh my where has this week gone. The kids are not sleeping right now, therefore mommmy is not sleeping. I am kinda in a daze. I am leading in my Nascar virtural racing group, I think that is cool. I had to swap out Mark though since he is not driving Bristol, not happy about that. Spring broke yesterday and it snowed and snowed in the morning, and then a real blizzard blew through in the evening for a couple of hours. Still in the Funk it Up Contest at scrapforums. Having fun with it. Throwing around the idea of entering scrapbooker of the year. Requires 20 LO, I would scrap 20 Lo anyway so why not. I am definitievly going to Scrap Etc. In Bama next year. Monique you have got to hold another one. I am also going to the Crop for the Kids in Edmonton in October. It is at West Edmonton Mall. Lots of classes and should be very very informative. DD got a great report card this week. Very proud of her. The only thing she needs to work

Shouting good news from the rooftops

sorry that you can't hear what I am saying though. I am bound by confidentiality. However I can say that something deserved, and owed to me has finally come to fruitation. I want to shout the news from the rooftops. I want to also say a shoutout to the girls and guys at Scrapjazz that when asked for sudden prayers with no information still lifted me up and helped make it possible. Thank you all, a chapter is closing in my life, and many others are starting to turn.

I did this LO for a contest at scrapforums, the Funk It up One. You had to use the words "I am sure of" I read her blog and she was voicing her concerns about her unexpected motherhood. She spoke to me, cause I have been there, who is kidding who I am still there and I have two kids. We are never sure of ourselves being parents. Or at least I am not. So this idea sprang into my head and I ran with it.

And to answer one of the questions

Yes that adorable little girl is me. circa 1968 or 69 To have my mom remember the details would be fantastic. But alas it is not to be.

Questions, questions and more questions

Image
Questions: - why is this little girl all dressed up - where did those adorable red shoes come from - what is she doing with her hands - what was her favorite thing - what made her smile - when was the picture taken We know it is approximately 39 years old. The reason I scrapbook is so that those questions have answers 39 years from now.

Tuesday Morning

It snowed last night, here I am bragging about spring and it bites me in the butt and snows. argggg Considering the time change the kids went to bed early and got up late. Wonderful for me. Finished one more LO lastnight for the Funk it Up challenge at scrapbookforums. Was in chat at SJ last night, the girls made me laugh and I thank them for that. Scrapbooker of the Year contest has been announced by Creating Keepsakes, would be so cool.

Tuesday Mornings aren't too hot either

Well the kids and I enjoyed I really nice evening last night. Supper was accomplished well, homework done with fun, and games played. That is a really good night. Even bedtime went well. Then I am sitting there in my chair being totally lazy. I had the kitchen to clean, laundry to put away, the floors needed done, toys needed tidying, any number of things needed done and I just sat there. I am so bad.

Monday Morning

I am not too hot on Monday mornings. DH leaves to go to work, the kids are resistant to getting back into a routine. Mondays are a pain, plain and simple. Today started out even better than normal. I wake up when DH left at 4:30. Just nicely get back to sleep and DD is waking me up telling me that DS has a bloody nose and he is writing on his dresser with it. I get up. There is definitely lots of red blood on the white dresser, but nothing on his face and hands. I clean him up, and he was clean, then I clean the dresser. Nothing on his pillow. Weird, but as it is 5 am I go back to bed. I get up at seven and go to open the fridge and stuff from the top of the fridge cascade down onto me. I might mention that I have heavy pottery canisters on top of my fridge filled with items the kids are allowed only if Mommy and Daddy are around to surpervise. The fact that these heavy canisters cascaded down around me, I knew DD had been into stuff she should not have. I call her in th

I can count on you Mom

Those few words spoken at bed time after stories and lullabies. Good night, I can count on you Mom. What essential words to a 3 year old. Knowing with all their heart and soul that they will be taken care of, loved, and that they have you to take care of them. I can count on you Mom. Awe the sweet sweet words.

Sawyer, all mine
